Monthly Action - June 2026 - Sharing Faith over the Summer
As we head into summer, there’s no better time to think about running an Equipped to Share course in your church and helping people grow in confidence as they share their faith with friends, family and neighbours.
Sharing our faith
As Christians, we are called to share the hope we have in Jesus. The good news is life-changing: God loves us so much that he came to us in Jesus, died for us, forgave our sins, and invites each one of us into a personal relationship with him. As Paul writes to the Colossians, “the Gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world” (Colossians 1:6). We are called to play our part in that growth by sharing our faith with grace, love and authenticity.
The impact of personal invitation cannot be overstated. An incredible 77% of non-Christians who attend church do so because a friend or family member invited them. The greatest opportunities for the gospel are often not on a stage or platform, but in everyday conversations between ordinary Christians and the people they know and love.
Yet many Christians find evangelism difficult. We worry about saying the wrong thing, feel unsure where to start, or lack confidence in explaining our faith clearly. That is why Arise created Equipped to Share – a free, five-session course designed for churches of every size and tradition. It helps Christians share their faith naturally, confidently and effectively, equipping them to make evangelism part of everyday life.
We see the difference this can make in stories like Jeremy’s. A student in Portsmouth, Jeremy was invited to explore faith by a Christian friend who had been encouraged through Equipped to Share. That invitation led Jeremy to attend a local Christian Union event, and within 24 hours he had committed his life to Jesus. As he continued to explore faith in conversation with Christian friends, his faith deepened and grew. Today, Jeremy is an active Christian and a valued member of his local church.

Act
Speak with your church leaders about running Equipped to Share in your church. Download the free course materials and begin planning how the course could work in your context. If you decide to run it, get in touch with Arise at info@ariseuk.org. We may be able to help lead sessions, support your team, or provide additional resources.
Pray
Pray for friends, family members and neighbours who do not yet know Jesus. Ask God to create opportunities for meaningful conversations about faith. Pray that hearts will be open to the gospel and that many people will come to know Christ. Pray too that Equipped to Share will inspire, encourage and strengthen churches wherever it is run.
Give
Support your local church as it reaches out to your community and helps people grow in faith. You may also wish to support organisations such as Alpha or Christianity Explored, whose ministries are helping churches across the world share the gospel effectively.
